Post Elections
This is notice to the Post
Membership that there will be Post Elections at the next Post Meeting June 20th
2019. All Officer and Post Positions are up for election.
If you want to be on the
ballot for any of the Post Offices please notify the Adjutant, Paul Nehrich by
email or you can call at (516) 233-8972. The positions up for
nominations are as follows:
Commander, 1st Vice
Commander, 2nd Vice Commander, 3rd Vice Commander, Adjutant, Treasurer, Post
Judge Advocate, Historian, Chaplain, Sergeant-at-Arms, County Representative,
Alternate County Representative and Post Trustee.
Call Paul Nehrich to get your
name on the Ballot for the Position of your choice. Elections will be
held on June 19th 2019.
This notice will be posted on
the website and sent by robocall.

Village of Freeport Memorial Day Parade & Observance Parade Orders
The Village of Freeport Memorial Day Parade and Observance Committee and the Freeport American Legion welcome the Citizens, Visitors and Veterans of All Wars of the United States of America to join us in Observing Memorial Day, Monday May 27th 2019 at 10:00 am. The Parade will start on Brookside Avenue in Front of Freeport High School to Merrick Rd…then we will go west on Merrick Rd to the Freeport Memorial Library where we will hold our Memorial Day Observance honoring our fallen Veterans.
This year the Honorary Parade Marshal is William Clinton Story, Aviator who was the first Freeport Soldier killed in WWI.
All Veterans, whether you live in Freeport or visiting are welcome to join William Clinton Story Post in the Parade and Observance.
