Reflections
of a World War II POW:
Bernard
Rader
WEDNESDAY,
NOVEMBER 8, 2 P.M.
Come get a
glimpse of Bernie's experience as a POW in World War II. On October 1933, as a
19-year-old, Pfc. Bernard Rader was part of a 55-man patrol deployed into
Lorrient, Brittany. They were ambushed by the Germans, and after a six-hour
battle with machine guns, grenades, and mortars they were forced to surrender.
