BALDWIN HALLOWEEN FEST TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY
Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st AD), Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, and Town of
Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J.
Santino announced they will be hosting their 3rd Annual Baldwin Halloween Fest, a community benefit to help
support families in financial need.
In 2013, the
event was started to benefit Superstorm Sandy victims and to aid families
through the tough economy and get them back on solid financial footing. This
year’s event will take place on Halloween Day,
Saturday, October 31, at Milburn Park in Baldwin at 11 a.m.
“Nearly
three years after Sandy, the Baldwin community is still recovering,” said
Curran, a staunch advocate for Sandy victims. “This is a tight-knit community
and we are fortunate to have neighbors with the hearts to help each other.
This
is a chance to bring families together to enjoy some fun activities, but more
importantly, help families who continue to need coats, children’s clothing,
food or even shelter.
I am continually amazed at the perseverance and outlook
our families in Baldwin have for the future of our community – it makes it that
much easier when we can all stand together in making this time a little easier
for our neighbors.”
