April Newsletter Addendum
Addendum
In the April 2015 'Dugout' it was reported that "The Village of Freeport has
given a long term lease of the building at 925 S. Ocean Avenue to the American
Legion on October 1, 2012 under Past
Cmdr. Nehrich and Former Mayor Andrew Hardwick."
It was indeed under the tenure of
Past Commander Nehrich as Commander of William Clinton Story Post 342 and in the year 2012 that William Clinton Story Post 342 was given a long term lease on the building at 925 S. Ocean Avenue by the Freeport Village Board of Trustees during the term of the last Mayor.
The statement in the Dugout is not false, but given some complaints, we choose not to in any way to minimize or neglect the work of the Village Board of Trustees.
D.N. Cockerel, by direction.
WWII Photos
CMDR. Richardson has ordered a special edition of the "Dugout" for Memorial Day that highlights WWII Veterans who have photos of themselves during the WWII.
Please e-mail copies of your photos and your story to 'wcspost342@gmail.com' or mail your photos with your story/bio to "William Clinton Story Post 342, P.O. Box 7339, Freeport, N.Y. 11520" by April 18, 2015.
